Science with Ms. Hunt!

 

My name is Ms. Hunt (Coach Hunt) and I will be your teacher this semester. I have studied many fields within the sciences, with an emphasis on cell biology, and global ecology. I earned my Bachelor of Sciences in Science Education at NC State University, with a focus in Biology. I was raised in a large, loving and academic minded family here in Welcome, NC. I am a proud alumni of North Davidson and honored to now be among the teaching staff. My amazing parents are still in Welcome and my five sisters with their families and children are scattered around the piedmont as well.

Athens Drive High School in Raleigh NC was my teaching home for 7 years and I loved being a Jaguar but I am so excited to be back home and a Black Knight once again. In the past I have coached women's tennis and softball and I currently coach Women's Tennis here at NDHS. I love to attend all sporting events to cheer on our Black Knight athletes. As a sports enthusiast I encourage my students to think of myself and their classmates as teammates. We support one another as we strive to reach the same goal of learning and success.

I'm very excited to get to know each of you and help you learn the wonders of the world of science! My goal is to make this course fun for you, while also helping you meet expected standards for your grade level. Ultimately I want to help you succeed and receive an excellent education.
