Davidson County Schools Driver Education 
 
   Who is eligible to attend? 
  • 14 1/2 years old
  • currently attending a school in the Davidson County School district 
  • OR be home-schooled at a residence in the Davidson County School district 
  • OR attend a private school that is located in the Davidson County School district

 

Late January Class.  (Currently being taught)

1. NDHS January 2025 room #400
Due to the weather-related delays, this class has been pushed back and we could see more delays.
This class will use Chromebooks.                               

January 29th,30th@ NDHS   ( 6 hours)  

February 3rd, 4th, 5th,, 6th 3:15-6:15 @ NDHS  (12 hours)      

February 10th, 11th,12th, 13th 3:15-6:15 (12 hours)

Make-up will be on the 17th.                    

 

Late March/April Class.

2. NDHS March/April 2025 room #400
Due to the weather-related delays, this class has been pushed back and we could see more delays.

NDHS March, 31st 2025 room #400

Due to this class being in the Spring, these dates can vary due to exams, weather, and other factors.
This class will use Chromebooks.                               

March 31st, 1st, 2nd, 3rd  3:15-6:15 @ NDHS   ( 12 hours)  

April  7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th 3:15-6:15 @NDHS (12 hours)

April  14th, and 15th 3:15-6:15 @ NDHS  (6 hours)      

April 16th 3:15-6:15 (3 hours)  Makeup      

This class will use Chromebooks

  2. DECHS students only in Late February of 2025 @ DECHS  3:30 pm-6:30 pm 
  3. NDHS Late March/Early April 2025 3:15 - 4:45 after school.  @NDHS
  4. NDHS Mid-June  2025 Durning the Summer  9 am -12 pm. @ NDHS
  5. NDHS Early August 2025 During the Summer 9 am- 12 pm @ NDHS 
  6. DECHS students only in Early to Mid September of 2025 @ DECHS  3:30 pm-6:30 pm  
  7. NDHS Early October class 2025 After School @ NDHS     
  8. NDHS Early December class 2025 After School @ NDHS     
  9.  NDHS Late January class 2026 After School @ NDHS

Homeschool and Private school students: 

Students will be issued a temporary Davidson County email so that they can have access to the materials.  

- Must have transportation to and from class for in-person classes

- The attending school does driving unless accommodations have been made.

Please be patient as we continue to schedule Driving Behind The Wheel for students who have completed the classwork. We usually try to drive you within 30 days of your 15th birthday. The total in-car part of the class is 12 hours.
