Our April class has reached capacity. Registration is closed. Next registration will be on April 6th
 
 
Eligibility:  You must be 15 years old or older before 010/05/2026 (NC DMV guidelines)
 
Davidson County Schools Driver Education 
 
   Who is eligible to attend? 
  • 14 1/2 years old
  • Currently attending a school in the Davidson County School District 
  • OR be home-schooled at a residence in the Davidson County School district 
  • OR attend a private school that is located in the Davidson County School District

Starting February 16th School lets out at 3:35 @ North Davidson

This is a paper-pencil course with no Chromebooks.                           

February 11th, 12th  3:10-6:10pm @ NDHS (6 hours)

February 16th,17th, 18th and 19th 3:40-6:40 @ NDHS (12 hrs)  

February  23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th 3:40-6:40 @ NDHS (12hrs)

(TBA 3 hours make up if needed)

Homeschool and Private school students: 

- Must have transportation to and from class for in-person classes

- The attending school does driving unless accommodations have been made.

Please be patient as we continue to schedule Driving Behind The Wheel for students who have completed the classwork. We usually try to drive you within 30 days of your 15th birthday. The total in-car part of the class is 12 hours.
